Educational Garden Meet Up @ Stanford Hall
Oct 22 @ 11:30 am – 3:00 pm
Educational Garden Meet Up @ Stanford Hall | Leicestershire | GB

Educating our next generation in sustainable ways of living is our key to a secure future. In association with Seeds of Eden, Stanford Hall is offering a great environment to do just that. Over the coming months we’ll be creating a permaculture/wildlife garden, a formal kitchen garden, crop trial beds and an orchard area to showcase many sustainable growing methods. These gardens will then be used to teach children from local schools, as well as those from inner city schools during our existing summer camps and residential trips. Come and join us every Monday to help out with this exciting project! Produce from the gardens is available to all via our membership scheme so you won’t leave empty handed. Bring a packed lunch, snacks to share, some gloves and some decent boots. All ages and abilities welcome!

Rose Garden Restoration @ Stanford Hall | Leicestershire | GB

The beautiful listed rose garden at Stanford Hall is opening its fancy looking gates to anyone who would like the opportunity to work alongside an expert rose grower in this historic space. The garden is being restored to its former glory with the help of The Seeds of Eden Community Growing Initiative and offers a great play ground to learn about growing roses and beautiful perennials in general.

There are people looking to carshare so if you’re coming and can give a lift please comment on the event to let people know where you’re coming from. On the day it would be great if you could bring a snack, a pair of gloves and a bottle of water.
